We came with my wife in Taverna Omalos, a restaurant in a small village. It specializes in grill, Mediterranean, barbecue, and Greek cuisine. It has received many positive reviews from friends who praised its food, service, value, and atmosphere. Some of the dishes that were recommended by our friends include the lamb ribs, the bean salad, the local herb salad, and the tzatziki. Of course we tasted and is simply amazing. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful valley with views of the mountains. The owner, George, are very hospitable and friendly, and they use fresh products from their own farm. Highly recommend it
This place is amazing. We had the best lamb ever - one dish of the day was lamb with green beans, another dish of the day was lamb in vine leaves. Purely fantastic! Michelin star grade lamb meals.
The starters were delicious as well - stuffed vine leaves and stuffed courgette flowers, feta chess in the oven.

I don't know what was best. Food view or hospitality. The mixed salad with the cheese the produce on their own? The "tsigariasto" or the home made sausage???? I ll definitely gonna come again to have "anticristo" and "choclious" as we couldn't eat more. The hand made sour cherry with local yogurt they served after dinner was amazing!!!
Delicious fresh food, nothing like you would get in tourists traps. And very reasonable prices too. One of the best in our stay in Crete.
Amazing lamb! Lamb chops, pilaf or grilled. Also green beans are divine - apparently they produce this local variety. Very quick and friendly service. Great spot, under the platan trees.
If you are close you have to visit. Food is traditional and tastes awesome. Very friendly and Very good prices. These days this tastes are rare. Enjoy
Best antikristo ever.
We have visited and order to have antikristo ready for us. The meat was amazing, since it comes from their herd. In addition, their homemade sausage was amazing. It melted in your mouth.
